When Mortgage Professional Australia invited me to be part of its Broker in Focus series, it gave me the opportunity to step back and tell the story of how I arrived in broking. It was definitely not a straight line.
We spoke about my background in teaching and finance, the six years I spent living in a meditation centre and how those experiences eventually came together in the creation of Realise Home Loans.
I also shared what I believe matters most in broking: protecting the human connection in an increasingly digital industry, supporting the wellbeing of brokers and giving clients clarity, even when the answer is not what they hoped to hear.
The feature was published during my Realise chapter. Today, I work as a Founding Broker Partner at Blank Financial, but the things I spoke about then remain at the heart of how I work: education, connection and helping people feel more confident and empowered around money.
